Sun, Power & Water: Sustainability on Our Organic Farm

By Farm, Hostel

Sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us – it’s woven into every corner of our farm and everything we do. Our electricity comes entirely from our own photovoltaic solar panels on the farm roofs, powering the hostel rooms, kitchen, common areas, and campsite cleanly, quietly, and independently.

We also take care with water. Our water comes from our own well, filtered, fresh, and drinkable straight from the tap. On the campsite, solar-powered hot water ensures warm showers while keeping energy use low.

For us, sustainability is all about everyday habits:

Use water consciously – only what you really need for cooking or showering.

Save electricity – switch off lights when they’re not needed.

Separate waste properly – paper, plastic, organic waste, and general trash.

Every small action makes a difference. Guests can help naturally, simply by following these simple habits, without extra effort. It’s an easy way to be part of a community living in harmony with nature.

Everything on the farm is designed to protect resources while keeping comfort high. Sun, electricity, and water work together to keep the farm vibrant, warm, and welcoming – from the campsite under olive and oak trees to the hostel rooms.

For us, sustainability isn’t about sacrifice – it’s about conscious choices with joy. Small gestures, big impact. Visiting the farm allows you to see, feel, and experience how nature and technology can work together – and how simple it is to live in tune with the environment every day.

Our farm is more than a place to stay; it’s a shared experience, where sun, water, energy, and nature come together, and every guest can easily contribute to sustainable living.
