A Winter Full of Sunshine – Citrus Harvest on Our Farm

Winter marks one of the most beautiful times of the year on our farm: the citrus harvest. Our trees are heavy with juicy oranges, mandarins, and clementines, glowing like little suns among the green leaves. The first fruits are ready in November, filling the air with their fresh, sweet scent.

Everything grows organically, fertilized with donkey manure, lovingly cared for, and gently harvested. Each fruit carries a piece of our patience, hard work, and love – along with the unmistakable flavor of the Sardinian sun. Walking among the trees, you can smell the ripe fruits and the crisp winter air – a harmony of colors, scents, and life that makes this season so special on our farm.

The blossom season arrives in March and April, when all the trees are covered in snow-white flowers. Their delicate, sweet fragrance fills the air, creating a magical contrast to the bright orange fruits of winter.

This year, we are especially excited: in addition to oranges, mandarins, and clementines, we will also be grafting lemons and grapefruits. The fruity aroma is already in the air, promising a rich harvest in the coming weeks.

We are deeply grateful for our family and friends, who help us harvest, sort, and sell the fruits. Without you, this season would not be what it is: a true celebration of nature, community, and abundance. Your laughter among the trees, your hard work, and your passion for these fruits make the citrus harvest a special experience for all of us.

Every fruit tells its own story – of the sun that nurtured it, the care it received, and the hands that harvested it. For us, winter on the farm is about experiencing these stories and being grateful for everything that nature, people, and community create together.
