A Glimpse Behind: Our Spaces
A look behind the scenes: A Home Full of Stories – Our Thank You to Everyone
Our hostel spaces are more than just places to sleep – they are places full of stories, memories, and gratitude. Behind every piece of furniture, every cushion, and every rug are people who gifted us their treasures, materials, and trust. These gifts have shaped our farm and our rooms into what they are today – alive, unique, and full of character.
Furniture with History – From Rooms to the Bar
Most of our furnishings come from Germany – pieces that were no longer needed, passed on, or had no place elsewhere. Instead of buying new, we collected, transported, repaired, and lovingly restored them. Today, about 90% of our furniture is second-hand or gifted.
And it’s not just the hostel rooms. Our bar, the guest living room, and the kitchen are also furnished with old furniture, sofas, armchairs, cushions, and rugs. Every item carries a story and brings warmth, charm, and personality to the spaces. Old rugs from different homes, cozy cushions, and vintage cabinets create an atmosphere that is immediately authentic, vibrant, and one-of-a-kind.
Many of these pieces come from estate clearances or belonged to people who are no longer with us. Seeing them find a second life on our farm fills us with joy and gratitude. Here, the past lives on while new things are created.
Sustainability and Connection
For us, sustainability is more than organic farming. It means using resources consciously and giving old things new life. Our furniture, cushions, rugs, and materials represent trust, care, and connection to the people who supported us. They remind us how valuable it is to share, give, and build community.
It’s amazing to see how old pieces come together to form a harmonious whole. Worn chairs become tables, old cushions find new homes on sofas, and rugs are arranged to give each room character. Every object tells a story and adds to the unique atmosphere on our farm.
A Place Full of Gratitude
Our farm, hostel rooms, bar, kitchen, and communal living spaces are a thank you to all the people who have supported us. Here, old things continue to live, new things emerge, and guests can experience a special atmosphere full of history, heart, and personality.
Our farm shows that sustainability and creativity go hand in hand, that stories and people stay alive, and that every guest can experience a piece of this living history. Here, gifts, memories, and materials come together to create a home full of warmth, life, and gratitude.
